Old Fishergate House Local Activities

The famous Old Course, the Royal and Ancient Clubhouse and the British Golf Museum are within a 10 minute walk. The Byre Theatre is only 200 metres away and stages some excellent productions.

St Andrews has 5 excellent golf courses, a nine-hole beginners course, a unique putting green (called The Himalayas, for obvious reasons), and a first class driving range and practice area. Many of these are within walking distance, the others only 2 or 3 minutes drive away.

The Castle Course with stunning views over the Town and St Andrews Bay is only a short drive away as is the Dukes, a parkland course just outside the Town in Craigton Park.

The town still retains its medieval character, although as an internationally-known golfing and university town it has a vibrant mix of students, golfers, visitors and residents.
